Creating personal custom collections (ROY, CY, MVP, World Series teams)

Mark Oct 15, 2014 11:36AM EDT

Is there a way to create a custom collection of single cards, say all the baseball MVPs, Cy Young award winners and Rookies of the year? Also is it possible to create a custom collection consisting solely of teams in the World Series? Example: A collection consisting of Topps cards of only the 1960 Yankees and Pirates, 1961 Yankees and Reds, 1962 Yankees and Giants, 1963 Yankees and Dodgers, 1964 Yankees and Cardinals, 1965 Twins and Dodgers...etc.?

It is absolutely possible to create a custom collection of anything you want. When you go into the custom collections, simply create your collection with NO smart filters. It will be the first option available to you.

In the list, it will be set up as a manual collection which means you will be manually adding these cards to this custom collection.

Then go to cards in your collection in list view. Select the custom collection column to edit your custom collections (this is the folder column) and select the folder icon. You should then be able to add this card to your manual custom collection.

Regarding your second question, it is not possible to set-up a 'smart collection' this way. We plan to add the ability to add more filters, etc but right now, we do not have this capability. So if you want to create say a 1961 Topps Yankee and Reds Custom Collection, you would create a manual collection and then search cards in your collection (I would recommend filtering by 1961 Topps and then sorting by team or searching by team name). Then you can simply go down the list and add them to your custom collection.

I hope that this helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
